South’s annual Advent Party, on Sunday, December 7, is always a wonderful evening of laughter, good food, friends old and new, children and adult crafting together, caroling and the lighting of our Christmas Tree.
As it comes up quick the Sunday after Thanksgiving weekend, please take a moment to RSVP now with Laura Giannone – or sign up in Fellowship Hall on the kiosk.
The fun begins at 3:30 pm, outside on the front lawn. There will be hot cider and chocolate and wine to sip.
From 4:00 to 5:00 pm there is children and adult craft hour in the Chapel.
Everyone gathers inside the sanctuary for favorite carols. It is wonderful to see the lights and the beauty of Advent as we sing together. New this year: an Interactive 12 days of Christmas!
At 5:30 pm, dinner is served family style in Fellowship Hall. People sign up to host a table (bringing a main dish for 10 people) as well as to bring sides, dessert and wine. Tables will be set, juice and sparkling water provided.
Our famous Mediocre Ensemble, led by Doug Epstein, will play music during dessert. If you haven’t played your instrument in years … that’s perfect!
