Giving

A volunteer organization such as South Presbyterian Church requires a constant inflow of funding in order to do its work. Our church is 60% funded by contributions from members and friends. Monetary donations are always needed, greatly appreciated, and are tax-deductible.

A donation to South Church is a tangible expression of love, and of an intention to make the world a better place.

An even greater gift is an ongoing commitment – a pledge to provide funding over the course of the Church year.

Kay McCoy is heading up stewardship this year — and now is the time to let her know your plans for giving to South Church. Please do give as generously as possible – our budget includes an increase in income from giving — and our expenses are not decreasing — plus we have ideas for some great projects that will need your financial support! You can reach Kay here. Please tell her the amount you plan to give and the way in which you will donate: weekly, monthly or perhaps one lump sum on a certain date.

The below button gives you the option of making a monthly donation as well as donating with PayPal, a credit card and a debit card. If you prefer to pay with Zelle (no fee taken from your donation), our Zelle ID is treasurer@southpres.org

We thank you for partnering with South Church and supporting our ministries and programs.

If you would like to make a donation in honor of someone, or if you would like to leave a legacy gift to South Church in your will, please contact Kay here.

Other Ways to Give

Securities

Gifts of appreciated assets, such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, are appealing because long-term gains are not taxed, and the gift is generally deductible from income tax at the full fair market value on the date of the gift. Gifts of appreciated property can be deducted up to 30% of adjusted gross income.

Charitable IRA Rollover

If you own a traditional individual retirement account (IRA) and are age 70-½ or over as of December 31, 2022, consider making a charitable IRA rollover gift to the church. The charitable IRA rollover can be used to satisfy your required minimum distribution, to certain limits. The rollover amount is not subject to income tax and your gift will not be subject to charitable gift limitations.
