About the Gallery
The Donald Gallery is named for its founders, Robert and Elizabeth Donald. The first exhibition in 1982 was of missing children. Since then, local painters, photographers, and sculptors have shared their unique views of life, the world, the self. The Gallery was the first exhibition space in Dobbs Ferry.
Today, the Gallery is curated by Donna Thompson and Carol Sommerfield, and displays approximately six shows each year.
Gallery hours are 10:00am – 4:00pm
Current and Past Shows
Currently in the Donald Gallery is Terrence Fine’s show entitled Running With Scissors. The pieces, utilizing décollage technique, in the artists words “[marry] wit with classical as well as mystical elements to create a new narrative, usually satirical in nature. This series could best be described as Post-Apocalyptic Pre-Raphaelite.” The show runs September 18, 2016…
Collage works by Donna Thompson will appear in the Gallery from April 10 through May 31. An opening reception takes place on Sunday, April 10 at 11:00am.
Artwork by 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students at the Masters School in Dobbs Ferry are on currently on view in the Donald Gallery.
